The Charlie & Emma Story

In September 2015, we were informed that our twin daughters did not survive the pregnancy.  Being in the hospital waiting for the girls to be delivered was the saddest, most surreal time of our lives.  Charlie Marie and Emma Irene were never given a chance to live their lives and our family will never be the same.

An Experience We Never Expected

Our devastating loss was something no family should have to experience. The grief parents endure when losing a child is more than enough to handle. The added worry and stress of figuring out how to pay for their child’s funeral can be too much.

Not All Families Can Afford a Funeral

Fortunately, we were able to pay for a funeral and memorialize our girls.  Not every family can afford to provide that for their child and we felt compelled to do something.  We formed The Charlie and Emma Foundation with the purpose of raising funds to help families pay for their child’s funeral.

Financing a Funeral is an Ongoing Reminder

Parents are not financially prepared to pay for the funeral of their child. With the climbing costs of funeral arrangements, a lot of families are unable to cover the cost.  While the option of interest-free financing is something some funeral homes may offer, it’s also a painful monthly reminder.

Helping Families Make Peace

Helping a family who needs help paying for their child’s funeral is our small way of helping them properly grieve, if such a thing exists.

With your generous donation, we can help families as they try to cope with such a devastating loss. We believe the generosity of our communities will help make The Charlie and Emma Foundation a longstanding success.

With love,
Megan and Ryan
